Welcome to Riverside Academy

Riverside Academy is located in Victoria, Texas. We are passionate about partnering with parents to equip the next generation. We intentionally create a space for your children to learn, be who God made them to be, and grow in their relationship with God.
OUR GOALS AT RIVERSIDE ACADEMY

Spiritual Development
All students will begin each morning with prayer and will take part in Bible reading. Our elementary students will complete a craft to help them retain what they’re learning and our secondary students will accompany their Bible reading with the devotional and a prayer journal. All students participate in weekly chapel services.

Education
Core requirements based on the student’s chosen career pathway: Math, Science, Social Studies, and English. Character education will be embedded in the curriculum for every subject taught. Student curriculum is scaffolded so that we are meeting the students where they are and elevating their learning. Curriculum is focused on graduation requirements but also on individual wants and needs. We also provide half day programs for students wanting to work and students will have the opportunity to take part in dual credit college courses or college preparatory classes. Students focused on trades will be encouraged and assisted in finding training programs that will begin the training process.
Community Service includes going in to the community and assisting others in our community. Students take part in physical education including prayer walks in our church neighborhood.
We partner with an area business for transportation for weekly field trips including going to the library, the Children’s Discover Museum for our littles and to the garden in this next school year.
Elective provided include Cooking, Spanish, Nutrition, Art, Music and this year we are introducing Homesteading. Students will take part in gardening and raising chickens as part of their homesteading class. Eggs produced and produce grown will go home to each family. One acre of property has been donated for use for the class and in partnership with the Riverside Community Co-op, the students will build their own chicken coops and be responsible for four chickens each. Each student will also choose 6-8 items to grow in their area of the garden. These skills are not just skills for a grade, they are life long skills that will help students learn responsibility, discipline and how to take care of their families.
